Don Cook
Music Director
|
|
Don Cook is a native of Noodle, Texas. He has been leading music in churches and singing for the past ten years in Johnson County, Texas. He is well known by many churches in the area, having done special music and interim work. Don is also a member of the music group, Joyful Noise.
Don describes himself as a "loudmouth with a willing heart." He and his wife Lorrie live in Cleburne, Texas. They have one daughter, Sara, and one granddaughter, Kaitlyn. Don works a 9 to 5 job for an office equipment company in Johnson County. He enjoys photography, history, is an accomplished pencil/charcoal artist, and takes major acting and singing roles in church programs.
Don feels that music should bring joy. "Music should be a pleasure to listen to. It should have meaning and purpose. Its meaning needs to be grounded in scripture. In church, it is not entertainment, it is not a show, it is an offering to our Lord. I want to see people singing and being uplifted. The music should prepare our hearts for worship."

Neil Trichell
Youth Director

Neil Trichell is a native of Louisiana and now lives in Grandview, Texas with his wife, Susan. The couple has two sons, Justin, a senior at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor and Reid, a senior at Grandview, Texas high school. For the past 5 years, Neil has taught Special Education at Rio Vista, Texas High School and Grandview, Texas High School.
Neil is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. He has a total of 13 years in the ministry
Neil is a teacher of the Word. "I am called to teach the gospel to young people and to help them grow stronger spiritually. They are the future of the church."

Susan Trichell
Interim Children's Director

Susan Trichell is a native of Louisiana and now lives in Grandview, Texas, with her husband Neil. The couple have two sons, Justin, a senior at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor and Reid, a freshman at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
Susan worked for theJohnson County Association of Realtors for six years as their CEO until she recently changed careers.
She isnow working for Social Services Management Company, Inc. and pursuing a degree in social work.
Susan has served in the children's ministry at First Baptist Church of Forest Hill, Fort Worth, Texas; Grace Baptist Church, Grandview, Texas; and is the interim children's minister at Friendship Baptist Church, Cleburne, Texas.
She states, "I feel that I have been called to reach the children of this community and to teach them the word of God."

Sally Bade
Church Secretary

Sally Bade is the fourth daughter born to Bill and Ada Cole in Lapeer, Michigan. She met Bob Bade as a teenager and the two were married in 1958.
The ministry has carried the couple to live in Chicago, Titusville, Florida, Hattisburg, Mississippi, El Paso, Texas, Ft. Worth, Texas, Germany, and now Cleburne, Texas.
"I feel the position of church secretary is a vital part of the function of the church in assisting the pastor and staff in whatever way I can to make their ministry be effective. The key thing for me is communication and when that isn't lacking then the members can be prepared ahead of time to support and be a part of the programs of the church."
